ARTA SAFETY AWARENESS DAY - TRUCKS OUT WEST

Our second Safety Awareness Day; Trucks Out West show (the first was the Transport Expo in ’97) was held in Dubbo NSW Sept 13th and was a tremendous success thanks to the volunteers on your committee who have worked tirelessly over the last 12 months. The Show received excellent coverage by radio station 2DU and Owner-Driver, see the latest issue (Oct 10) is a must read on pages 36-37. The day was well supported by: -

• CR. Greg Matthews the Dubbo City Mayor and the people of Dubbo & Region with around 3,500 attending.
• Suppliers to the industry and operators took out a record 85 stands, which are too numerous to list here, with the highlight being the DaimlerChrysler Freightliner, Shanks/ Hendrickson with our Road Train Dolly and the industry’s Safety Education Trailer manned by legend Rod Hannif
